Tips for Planning a Corporate Event – Part 2

We included plenty of helpful tips for planning a corporate event in our last blog post, but there are still several more we have to offer. Here is an extension of our list of tips for planning your next corporate event.

  1. Choosing an Appropriate Time
  2. You may think you can choose any day and just give the company the day off and everyone will be on board. However, it is important to consider employee’s work schedule’s as well as the company’s. Make sure you pick a day in which the most possible employees can attend and your business can afford that specific day off. If you are part of a small company, it may be wise to brainstorm dates together in order to pick one that will work for everybody

  3. Add Desirable Prizes to Raffle
  4. Raffling off more PTO time and company gear is boring and played out. Try including items that will excite people to partake in the raffle. Some items can include modern technology, game tickets, and gift cards. Raffles are a fun way of getting people engaged in the company event.

  5. Create Goals
  6. Businesses don’t hold corporate events for no reason, they do it to achieve some sort of goal. Be sure to keep your goal in mind when setting up your corporate event. It’s wise to use SMART goals, which are goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-oriented. Having clear goals will ensure that you get the most out of your corporate event or picnic.

  7. Give Employees a Good Reason to Show
  8. Make sure you give your employees a good reason to attend your corporate event. It’s important to define what you’re doing at the event and why it’s important that everyone attends. In other words, the employees should all be aware of what the goal of the event is and how them being there will help to achieve that goal.

  9. Delegate Responsibilities
  10. No matter how big or small your business may be, it’s very important that you delegate responsibilities among others who are helping to plan the event. It’s usually not wise to have one person plan and coordinate every single detail of the event. This is one reason why Fountain Springs is a great place to host your next corporate event, as our event staff will help you every step of the way through the planning process.
